Stir Fried Fish with Oyster Sauce

This is a really easy, yummy fish my mom makes that is inspired by Asian flavor.


Stir Fried Fish with Oyster Sauce

Serves 4 – 6


1 ½ lb firm white fish fillets

4 tbsp. garlic paste

2 bunches scallions, finely chopped

2 tbsp. dark soya sauce

1 tsp. pepper

3 tbsp. oyster sauce

1 tbsp. vinegar

1 egg

¼ cup cornflour



• Marinate fish with 2 tbsp. garlic paste, 1 tbsp. dark soya sauce, 2 tbsp. oyster sauce, 1 egg and ¼ cup cornstarch.

• Mix well.

• Heat oil in a saucepan and pan-fry the fish till cooked.

• Set aside.

• Heat 2 tbsp. oil in a wok.

• Add 2 tbsp. garlic, 1 tbsp. oyster sauce, 1 tbsp. vinegar, 1 tbsp. dark soya sauce.

• Stir fry for a minute.

• Add chopped scallions in and stir.

• Add the fish in and mix gently.

• Remove from fire, garnish with scallions and serve hot.
