Baraboa Mas huni ( Pumpkin) : A Recipe from Six Senses Laamu, Maldives

Mas huni is a Maldivian breakfast food. It is like a salad with simple seasonings of onions and shredded coconut and can be eaten with roshi.
 

 

Baraboa Mas huni ( Pumpkin) : A Recipe from Six Senses Laamu, Maldives

Serves 4

Ingredients:

25 gms Curry leaves

2 gms Chili

100 gms Onion

Lemon juice to taste

1 kg. Pumpkin

100 gms Coconut fresh

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste
 
Method:

• Boil the pumpkin until it gets soft.

• Mix and squeeze curry leaves, chili, onion, lemon juice, salt and pepper together

• Mash the pumpkin and mix with all the ingredients.

• Serve as a salad or side dish.

  1. Hi – Is this a vegan version? Pumpkin mas huni (baraboa mas huni) is a lovely dish that I make for my husband from time to time, but you forgot one of the main ingredients, which is mas = fish = tuna. 🙂
